Renting in Nepal has usually meant word of mouth, brokers, and a lot of walking around neighbourhoods hoping for a “To Let” sign. Listings that do exist online are often outdated, missing photos, or gated behind a broker fee that neither the renter nor the landlord asked for.
Nawa Niwas exists to make renting simpler for both sides: a real, searchable inventory of rentals across Nepal, listings a landlord can publish in a few minutes from their phone, and a direct line between renter and landlord, with no commission.

Where we are today
Nawa Niwas is early: we're a small team building this out in the open, open to landlords and renters in every part of Nepal, with most of our first listings in the Kathmandu Valley so far. Reporting and moderation are in place from the start because trust matters on an open marketplace, where anyone can post.
Most listings come straight from the owners. Because the platform is open, brokers and agencies can post too: we mark the ones we find as Agency, so you know who you're dealing with. If you come across a broker whose listing isn't marked, please report it.
